If you do follow me on Twitter, here's the self-promo {here}, you will know that I have been following Jasmine for a while now and I am currently obsessed with her so I couldn't wait to do this interview with the beauty lady behind Jasmine Talks Beauty and her blogging tips!
1.TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I'm 22 and from Manchester. I graduated from the University of Birmingham last year and I studied Philosophy and Theology there. I'm starting a graduate scheme in September as an Underwriter, so it's an exciting time for me!
2. WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING?
I think it was sheer boredom. It was the start of summer and I was done with exams. I'd just started getting into beauty and reading up on reviews before I bought things and somewhere along the lines I thought 'why can't I give this a go?' and my blog was born!
3. WHAT IS YOUR BLOG MAINLY ABOUT?
My blog is mainly about beauty but every week I'll include a lifestyle (or sometimes fashion) post just to mix things up. Over time I've gained confidence to cover topics outside of my niche.

4. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE MAKEUP BRANDS?
It's cliche but I'll always love MAC for the sheer variety; every time I visit their counter there's something new to discover. A less well-known brand I love is KIKO because it's so affordable yet such incredible quality. Their Limited Edition packaging always gets me!
5. WHAT/WHO INSPIRES YOU TO BLOG?

This is a tricky question because I do it more for me and my own enjoyment than for anything else. However, the support from the people who read my blog never fails to amaze me. So, I would have to say the blogging community inspires me!
6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE BLOGGING, WORK OR STUDY?
It's a pro and a con but I'm just super-organised! I've written a few posts on my personal routine but it's all about scheduling for me! I write and take photos in bulk when I have the time then schedule out my material.

7. TOP 5 TIPS FOR FELLOW BLOGGERS.
Tip 1: Do it because you love it. If you're not loving blogging then take some time out and think about what makes you happy again. If your heart isn't in it, don't feel you have to carry on as I'm sure readers will sense your lack of passion. It's your blog so write about what makes you happy.
Tip 2: Be honest. Whether it's disclosing PR samples or not being into THAT product everyone's raving about, be upfront with your readers and they'll appreciate it. It also helps you have your own unique voice as there are a loooot of blogs out there!
Tip 3: Work hard at both your photography and your writing. It look me a long time to realise that images are a part of content. Photography draws people in, writing keeps them there so work at both of them.
Tip 4: Don't let blogging feel like work. Don't push yourself to blog 5 times a week when your life and commitments don't allow it. Likewise, if blogging daily works for you then don't let yourself be told otherwise. Find a setup that works for you.
Tip 5: Get involved with other bloggers and interact, whether it's joining Twitter chats or taking the time to comment on someone else's blog.
8. WHAT ARE YOUR BLOGGING GOALS AT THE MOMENT?
I feel I've come a long way since my blurry photos and Comic Sans header last year so I try not to think too much about the future but just appreciate how far I've come and what I have. There's always room for improvement so I'd like to work on my writing and photography as well as grow my audience and work with more brands.
9. WHAT SKINCARE PRODUCTS ARE YOU LOVING AT THE MOMENT?
I'm loving REN at the moment. I have all the fun with my combination but dehydrated, dull but blemish-prone skin and I find that when I'm breaking out the ClearCalm3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser is perfect for clearing up my skin without drying it out, whilst the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask leaves my skin looking fresh and glowing.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT BLOGGING?
- 1. I hate to be cheesy but the people! The blogging community is so kind and supportive and it's amazing we have our own community of likeminded people.
- 2. Developing new skills. I don't think people realise what goes into blogging; we're the photographer, writer, editor, planner, negotiator etc. etc. etc. It's amazing to discover new things you never knew you could be good at as well as expanding your existing skills.
- 3. Doing what I love! Blogging gives us normal people an outlet to talk about topics we enjoy without any particular expertise and I think that's a great thing.

11. WHAT BLOGS DO YOU RECOMMEND AND WHY?
There are so many! I love blogs like Gh0stpartiesFrock Me I'm Famous and From Roses for the incredible photography inspiration. I love  The Sunday Girl and A Beauty Junkie in London to get detailed and helpful reviews on all the latest releases. I love blogs like Jasmine Harding MakeupPint Sized BeautyPorcelain Beauty and The Cluttered Closet for their all-round high-quality content as well as because of the lovely ladies behind the blogs.
12. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN ONE YEAR, NOT JUST BLOGGING IN PERSONALLY?
I'm hoping I'll be working hard and  flourishing in my new career. I'd also like to  start saving for my own place, maybe with  my boyfriend as that would be perfect. It's a  time in my life where it's pretty hard to  visualise my future! In terms of my blog, I  hope it will have grown and improved  further, however I realise that in the future  I won't have as much time to dedicate to it  as I do now.
13. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO ON A LAZY DAY?
I seriously suck at being lazy and relaxed; it's a strength and a weakness... I like having a bubble bath, listening to some chilled-out music or doing reading. Me and my boyfriend also get ridiculously into whatever TV shows we're watching at the time. Lost, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black... So it's nice to have a morning in bed with Netflix on.
