Face Doodling With Clinique Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick

Friday, 5 August 2016

I have been thinking about purchasing this foundation ever since it came out, despite being hesitant about it, I knew that up till this day, Clinique has never failed me. So, finally, I decided to purchase this product - enough of this anecdote. Here is my review on the Clinique Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick.

I have had this foundation for 3 weeks, despite not using it every day, I have enough experience with it to write this review. What attracted me to this?? The simplicity of the idea of having a foundation in a stick also making the rushed mornings easier. Foundation sticks are essentially made for those who prefer non-liquid formulas, those who don't have enough time for doing their makeup and contouring. The Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick is really easy to use, with the bottom of the stick turning each time the foundation wears out. It's like sharpening a pencil and continuing to colour in your drawing.

Applying this foundation is the fun part. Doodling a few lines and making creations on your face makes it better than dabbing your face with a liquid foundation. To be honest with you, I do about 5 lines across my face with a few dots underneath my skin. With the few doodles across your face with this foundation, there are two ways I have tried to blend this in. The first day, I used this foundation stick I used my trusting method of a damp beauty blender which I didn't think went well. It took a long time to blend it in and I felt like it looked patchy. However, this may be due to the condition that my beauty blender is currently in, we will not speak of it. But after that, I tried to blend it in with a foundation brush, in particular, a brush from my Morphe 6 Deluxe Contour Set. It worked like a dream, it blended into my skin extremely well and glided against the brush effortlessly. After setting powder and finishing my face off, the foundation still looked intact yet so flawless. What amazed me so much was that the foundation looked like my skin, it did not look like I was wearing foundation at all.

But the question is did it last? If you're looking for a foundation that lasts all day and very lightweight then you should purchase this. This foundation lasts all day without looking patchy or dry on your skin, sometimes I do forget that I have my foundation on and end up wiping my face. Clinique's foundation stick ensures your face looks natural yet with buildable coverage whilst offering a lightweight feel.  Luckily enough, this foundation  does not transfer on to clothes especially when you're hugging someone else.

What do you think about the Clinique Foundation Stick? Have you tried and will you be trying it?
