lookfantastic beauty box
I've always wanted to try out a Beauty Box and I am.....

I have always been interested into beauty boxes, throughout the many things that I have seen on people's reviews they are definitely worth their money. For those who don't know about the Look Fantastic Beauty Box, the brand offers a monthly subscription which you can select dependant on how many months you want. Each month you will recieve a monthly gift of gorgeous beauty products that are over £40. Their beauty box has been a must have by many people with thousands of people subscribing to their beauty box monthly. I have only tried a few of the products but I had to show you this box before it ends as there are some good products involved! This month is all about Global Glamour* which is combining favourite products from all over the world. Once you open it, you'll receive an Elle Magazine and a magazine all about what is inside the box as well as tips and tricks.

Lord and Berry Eyebrow Pencil in "Brunette"*|  RRP £14.00 | I have heard so much about the Lord and Berry brand from beauty bloggers but have also come across their brand. I'd love to try more of their brand as their eyebrow pencil is really nice. As I mentioned in my How I Fill In My Eyebrows post, I mainly use eyebrow promade so finding a new eyebrow pencil is a bonus. Their eyebrow pencil filled in my eyebrows naturally and lasted all day with the company of my Sleek Eyebrow Gel.

Lottie London Moisturising Lip Balm in "Cherry Pie"*| RRP £4.99 | I came across the brand Lottie London a couple of weeks ago in store and as I am sucker for beautiful handwriting, I fell in love with the caligraphy of the Lottie brand. Of course, the first thing I have to do is smell and the cherry pie smells divine! I love the shape of the lip balm, it reminds me of the EOS balm which I quite like the idea of the ball.

Skin 79 BB Cream* | RRP £20.50 | Unfortunately the BB cream is not in my colour however it is from a Korean brand who at the moment have great reviews about. The Korean beaurty brands have been doing very well in the beauty world so trying this out would be a great way to trial out the Korean beauty world.

Gatineau Silk Cleanser* | RRP £31.00 | Ah, French pharmacy has become one of my favourite things to use on my skin. After using the likes of Caudalie and Avene, I am very excited to try this cleanser out. Recently, I haven't worn makeup so I'm excited to try this out when I do. It contains sweet almond oil, cotton extracts and silk extracts which sound luxurious and gentle to the skin.

Korres Moisturing Body Milk* | RRP £12.75 | First things first, I had to do was smell it. I personally love the smell of lemon so when I smelt this I instantly fell in love. The smell of lemon is accompanied by basil which together produces a fragrant, luxurious scent. The body milk is moisturising and isn't harsh on the skin. Korres is a Greek company which offer natural products so this was definitely a treat to have. The body milk moisturises the skin effectively and reminds me of a heavy duty cream.

Mane 'n' Tail Shampoo and Conditioner* | RRP £5.99 | Now, I have yet to try this out, you'll definitely be seeing a review on this product in the upcoming weeks. However, the products smell beautiful and the fact they are known for producing lucious looks as well as providing thickness to hair makes me very excited. My hair is quite thick so I am ready to see more of this!

Despite, the fact that I haven't tried out everything I'm so happy with the August's Global Glamour Beauty Box. I'd definitely subscribe to their monthly subscription so that you can get more beauty products like this, it's worth the money and worth the treatment. I'll be sharing my in-depth reviews on these products in the upcoming weeks but until then....

You can buy the LookFantastic Beauty Box, Birthday Edit Edition and subscribe to their monthly beauty boxes.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Autumn...

I was recently talking with Lily and we are very excited for the Autumnal period. Autumn has to be one of my favourite seasons, I love the cold mornings and the warm snuggly feel. The rain has been getting heavier and heavier, the weather has been getting a bit more gloomy so I think it's safe to say that it is time to start purchasing a few Autumnal bits....

There are a lot of clothes below, which you obviously click on and see more but there are a few things that I am very excited about especially. The wide leg trousers are so me, I love them so much and the fact that I could wear this with a warm jumper with a pair of open toe heels! I'm a huge fan of dresses which you'll see below especially the off the shoulder dress which would look so nice with some boots! Lastly, the period between Summer and Autumn is a weird one so I have popped a few lightweight jumpers to wear on a day to day basis.

What is on your transitional autumn wishlist? Are you still clinging on to Summer?

Working Out From Home

Working Out From Home

As I have always said that fitness is a huge part of my life and I seem to always be talking about it on my blog and every day. For those that don't know I'm always sharing my workouts over on my Instagram story, so if you need some workout inspo follow my Instagram. Anyway, enough with the promo, today's blog post is all about working out at home!

I do go to the gym quite a lot but sometimes I can't be asked to go or I'm being very lazy, on days like this I tend to do home workouts. Recently, I added two new things to the home workouts - dumbbells and weights. I'm used to the wide range of weights at the gym and I love weight training so it was about time that I bought some weights home. As I prefer to do my heavier workouts at the gym, I have some lightweight dumbbells for some arm workouts and ab workouts. My ankle/arm weights are perfect for lower body days alongside the help of a resistance band. I like to purchase some of my workout gear on Amazon as I find that they have a good range of effective, trusting equipment. TK Maxx is also another perfect place to purchase some weights for home workouts and more. Using the small dumbbells in a home workout would mainly be based on my stomach area, an example of this would be:

A 10-minute workout with a 2-minute rest:

Complete this little circuit twice, complete this circuit once, rest for 2 minutes and repeat again!

Dumbbell Coccoons (20 secs)
Sit up with Dumbbell Punches (10)
Plank Hold (15 secs)
Dumbbell Renegade Rows (10)
Ab Bicycle (20 secs)

The ankle weights would be a perfect way to tone your legs and build a bit of a bum, an example of this would be:

Complete this little circuit twice, complete this circuit whole, rest for 2 minutes and repeat again!

Walking Lunges or stationary lunges (10 reps per leg)
Jump squats (10)
Monster Walks with resistance bands as well (10)
High knees (10)
Side leg raises (10 reps per leg)
Straight leg kickbacks (10 reps per leg)

Natural Hair Essentials (Wash Day Edition)

Saturday, 19 August 2017

For those who don’t know washing natural hair is a huge workout which entails a shoulder workout, arm workout and even a semi leg workout. I love my natural hair and finding new products to put in my hair to help my hair grow whilst maintaining its healthiness. When it comes to wash days there are some essentials that I can’t live without…

A Tea Rinse | After washing my hair, I like to give my hair a tea rinse where I usually use either green tea or sage tea. I only started using teas in my hair a year ago and have seen a difference in my hair’s growth and thickness. Green tea contains caffeine which stimulates hair follicles and encourages growth. Green tea is perfect for fighting any dandruff, bacteria and any other problems in your hair. Sage tea is another tea rinse that I like to use which makes my hair shiner, brings moisture to my locks and stimulates hair growth. I have to do a tea rinse at least twice a month, massaging tea into my scalp has definitely helped deeply!

An Apple Cider Vinegar Wash | I remember when I was encouraged to do apple cider vinegar washes and my first reaction was “are you trying to burn my scalp?” however, it’s the complete opposite. Now, I don’t put apple cider vinegar in my hair each time I was my hair but when I feel like my hair is extremely dirty or I don’t feel like the shampoo did any justice, I like to spray this into my hair to make sure that my scalp is extra clean. It cleans your scalp effectively, it reduces any bacteria and helps with dandruff problems, also I have realised that it has provided me with lovely, shiny locks.

Conditioner | Of course, I need some conditioner in my life. At the moment, my the conditioner I am loving is from the new Garnier CoconutOil and Macadamia Conditioner which I talked about previously. I love the fact that it includes one of my staple oils that I like to put in my hair (I’ll share some of my favourite oils that I like to use). I like to deep conditioner my hair for around one hour especially if I have time and ensure that my hair is detangled. I have used a lot of conditioners in my lifetime but the one conditioner that I love and have to purchase more of is the Shea Moisture Coconut andHibiscus Conditioner (I have a thing for coconut). It worked so well and the shedding was absolutely minimal.

Clips | Personally, I can’t wash my hair as a whole, I have to wash my hair in sections and I use clips to make sure that washing my hair is so much easier. I did tell you, it is a workout on its own. On average I use around 6-7 clips in my hair, yes it is that thick and without the clips I feel like washing my hair would take days instead of hours.

What are the important essentials that you put into your wash days?

A Friday Night Pamper

Friday, 18 August 2017

a pamper night

I like to take part in a pamper night at least once a week...

I don't tend to associate a  Friday night with a pamper night, I usually associate it with a Sunday but then I thought I don't go out every Friday so why not pamper yourself? Pampering, taking care of yourself is so important for yourself. The majority of the time, we are running around and not having enough time just to sit down and relax. Hence, why you should partake in a pamper evening tonight.

Buy yourself the best skin care products that you would like to use or are your favourites. To take off my makeup, I'd use the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm which is a gentle, calming, effective balm that takes off your makeup without being too vigorous on the skin or reaction. Using a soft muslin cloth or a flannel like one from The White Company to take off the balm. I like to put on a mask usually from Superdrug as their masks are inexpensive and work wonders. Other masks that would be recommendable would be the new Origins Sheet Masks and The Body Shop Masks. Whilst this mask is on my face, I'd either sit in a warm bath whilst watching a film or listening to calming music or watch a YouTube video. After taking off my mask, I like to use natural oils to moisturise my skin as well as hydrate it. I like to use a small amount of avocado oil on my face and spend time massaging that in to my skin. Afterwards, I like to use a facial oil like the Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Facial Oil or I go straight in to my toning with my Vitamin E Facial Spray. At the moment, I have been using the Avene Thermal Spring Water which I talked about last week!

On pamper nights, I'd love to indulge in a pizza which sometimes I do but other times I'd purchase some fish and chips or a kebab (i love kebabs). I'd definitely buy some chocolate, of course, Twirl Bites by Cadbury would have to be my absolute favourites! I do have semi-healthy snacks like crackers, or apples and peanut butter and a few packets of crisps. It really all depends on what I am feeling. Of course, I can not miss out the Sweet and Salted popcorn from Metcafe!!

The other important part of the night, on nights like this I like to watch comedies I tend to always watch Kevin Hart or Bad Boys or Rush Hour. Other times, I'll end up watching action films I've never really been a romance film type of gal, I don't know why. During this time, I'm usually snuggled up in a cosy blanket with my favourite pj's from ASOS. You know I'm snacking throughout this whole film. If I'm not watching a film, I'll be on Netflix either catching up on my latest tv series or finding new ones.

What do you do on a Friday night? Do you ever do pamper nights on Friday?
