Getting The Most Out Of Your Workouts

For those who have been following me on Instagram and my blog will know that I am obsessed with fitness and working out. I love going to the gym and doing at home workout; after training for 2 years I have tried different ways of working out and finally understood how to get the most of my workouts.

They don't have to be more than 1 hour in order to get an effective workout, your workout can last 20-30 minutes and your body will be in shock as well as having a great sweat. On days where I am in a rush but in desperate need for a workout, I always find myself only being able to do a 30-minute workout where I like to do a least two circuits so that I can get the most out of my workout. Or sometimes, I like to do supersets as its faster as well! Supersets and circuits are the quickest way to do a workout if you are in a rush but just make sure you keep your form correct. Another way of working out in a short amount of time would be doing HIIT which stands for High Intense Interval Training - it's mainly used to burn fat and very very effective. I will tell you now, you'll be sweating and your body will thank you a lot! I like to do a bit of HIIT when my body feels sluggish or I haven't worked out for weeks on end. 

Find a gym and join a class is another way! Most people don't like the idea of weight training or find that it is too boring which is understandable so I'd recommend joining a class like a spin class or even Zumba! I love Zumba and would recommend it to anyone, it's perfect - full of music and some dance moves as well the perfect way to workout. Find a class that is perfect for you and that you can enjoy going to it whenever you want. If you're not into intense training, yoga classes are also perfect. I think yoga is a great way to workout and I am slowly trying to implement into my weekly routines, it is a perfect way to improve your flexibility and stamina. 


Getting The Most Out Of Your Workouts


Don't use your phone, just listen to music. Now, you're probably wondering why? Most times people argue that they do not get the most out of their workouts but one of the main reasons is due to the focus. The more time you spend on your phone flicking through Snapchat or Instagram the less time spent working out effectively. I suggest making a playlist on your phone before you leave and just let it play until your workout is done. Trust me, your workout will be so effective!

I always find that working out with your friend or a personal trainer motivates you more to complete the whole workout. I had a personal trainer a couple of years ago and before working with them, I used to think that I was working out great but once I had one session I was sweating after 10 minutes. Having a partner helps you immensely and pushes you to lengths you didn't think you can go to.
