My Gymwear Wishlist

"I'm obsessed with gymwear"

Yesterday on my Instagram, I asked a few questions on my Insta story about fitness (if you want, could you please answer some of the questions). Once I started going to the gym, I only had one pair of leggings and an old t-shirt, after two years my collection is slowly growing and my obsession has blossomed. I'm now on the hunt for some more gym wear clothing as I've found that I don't have the essential bits and bobs.

The one thing that I have realised is that I don't have a gym bag (I know, what?). I'm on the hunt for a medium-ish sized gym bag for my frequent visits so this pink Nike Duffle bag is absolutely perfect for those days. The material of the bag is fit for any type of weather and as most of you know that means: rain. Aside from this, I am currently on the lookout for more gym bras that are incredibly comfortable to wear not just at the gym. This navy blue Nike sports bra looks like it might be the perfect fit, apparently it is designed for the toughest of workouts and on days where I want to jazz up my outfit this purple Sweaty Betty bra looks perfect too.

On to leggings (my absolute obsession). At the moment, I am totally in love with the new Ombre Gymshark leggings. They look amazing and they are part of the seamless range which has had many positive reviews. I currently only own two Gymshark leggings which are definitely worth it. The material is superb and almost sweatproof. For those who are worried about whether the material is squat proof? It definitely is. I am obsessed, I definitely need to expand my collection. Aside, from the Ombre leggings, I definitely want to try out their new Energy Seamless range too! I feel like the Nike training leggings is a staple, a must-have in everyone's collection and I want them too. I love the plain, sleek finish that they give to any gym outfit.

As you can see, I prefer neutral colours to wear to the gym. I don't own many jumpers especially as the weather at the moment is rather cold. So I'm going to have to add a few jumpers to the list as well as long sleeve tops although, after a while, I tend to take them off due to sweating (ew, gross). I definitely want to try out crop tops as well, I think they flatter any gym outfit.

I'm currently building up my trainers collection and to be honest, I am not very good at trainers but I am learning. I'm on the lookout for some good trainers especially for leg day and that are very comfortable as well as flat.

A Week With Bobbi Brown's Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation

A Week With Bobbi Brown's Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation

My first impressions with Bobbi Brown's Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation........

Bobbi Brown is such a great beauty brand that is full of products that offer a range of beautiful quality whether that is in their foundations, skincare or eyeshadow palettes. After the whole issue with foundations and concealers, Bobbi Brown saved the day and bought out 30 shades for all skin tones and undertones of their new Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation. I was finally introduced to Bobbi Brown's products last year and instantly fell in love with their pressed powder. So, I definitely had to pick up a sample of this new foundation....

There are two main questions that you are probably asking yourselves about this foundation, which I am about to answer. 1 - is the foundation longwear? & 2 - is the foundation weightless. The answer to both questions is yes. My first impressions of this foundation were that it was definitely longwear, according to Bobbi Brown it is a 16-hour long foundation - I would agree to that. In the past week, I have worn this foundation for 16 hours on multiple occasions as the foundation stays the exact same after application. The foundation hardly moves after applying and can last all day long. Especially on days where I know, I will be busy, I love wearing a base that doesn't feel heavy on my skin and this foundation does just that! It is a waterproof foundation (yes, I have tested this) and doesn't budge in the rain (if you live in the UK and don't have an umbrella, you'll be happy to hear that).

A little does a go a long way with this foundation, I've found that even less than a pump is enough for a full face of makeup (but that's very dependent on yourself). It does dry quite quickly so I would recommend blending in fast once applied to the skin. Due to this quick dry, it provides a beautiful, natural matte finish by controlling the oils and shine around those points on your face. Therefore, there is no necessary need for a lot of powder on your face. To apply this foundation, I have been using a buffing brush which I have found works so much better than a beauty blender with this foundation. The matte finish feels weightless and very comfortable after a long day whilst hardly creasing or moving.

"Are you wearing foundation?"

As discussed before, I have sensitive skin so I am always apprehensive about using new foundations on my skin. This foundation so far has not had a negative effect on my skin and instantly provides me with an ever so natural coverage. Their foundation is great for those with normal to oily skin whilst providing a healthy glow!   On the days that I have worn this foundation I have been told that my makeup looks natural and it doesn't look like "I'm wearing any foundation".

Am I going to buy the full version? Yes, I am because I have fallen in love with this foundation. It has given me such a beautiful, matte finish.

Have you tried out the new Bobbi Brown foundation?

Beauty Habits I Want To Adopt

Wednesday, 7 February 2018

I saw this idea for a blog post on PintsizedBeauty and Beauty By Kelsey (two of my favourite bloggers, please go and give them a read). I thought it was a good idea as in my What's New In My Makeup Bag blog post, I mentioned trying out primers. This year, 2018, I definitely want to try out more makeup and new skincare routines.

Buy more than one thing
I don't have a huge makeup collection, I tend to buy one of the same thing. I'm not someone who has more than one foundation or more than one concealer. I tend to stick to the exact same products, this year especially I want to expand my makeup collection a bit more. I'd definitely like to have one of everything and try out brands that I have never tried out before.

Don't be scared of eyeshadow
I don't usually wear eyeshadow, I am nearly always wearing liquid eyeliner. On days where I feel like wearing eyeshadow, I tend to go for the same shade and never venture out. I love watching YouTube videos on cut creases or just blended out eyeshadow but always have fear that I won't do it correctly or nice.

Research more products
I know exactly what products work well for my skin, like Vitamin E and Clinique but I also tend to stay away from other skincare brands just because I have the fear that it will react with my sensitive skin. I would love to research and discover skincare brands that are perfect for sensitive skin but are also fragrance free. I think an intense session with a dermatologist is something I need!

Know what works well for blackheads
I have blackheads around my nose, which frustrates me a bit. I have used pore strips before (haven't worked), I do exfoliate my nose quite reguarly and it doesn't work. So I'd love to investigate and learn more about the treatment for blackheads.

January Favourites

January Favourites

First of all, Happy February! Finally, it's the end of January. Now, I know that January was a long month, I definitely felt it myself. It was a good month for me, a lot of things are in the pipeline and I celebrated my birthday! However, it's finally a new month and as tradition, it's time for a monthly favourites blog post.

Starting off the post with all my makeup favourites, we have the Ordinary Coverage Foundation. I have spoken about this foundation in depth last month, however, I have been loving this foundation a lot. The coverage is medium which I love as I don't like to look like I have on makeup sometimes, so this foundation gives that "natural" look. I have fallen back in love with my Maybelline Great Lash mascara which never fails to lengthen my eyelashes and provide a jet black individual lash look.

Personally, when it comes to trying out creams I always go for creams that smell nice and the creams that I have been using at the moment are just that. For my birthday, I treated myself to the Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Body Creme which I am in awe of. The scent, itself, instantly reminds me of the spring season. I love it so much, the scent hardly wears off and works well once you apply a complimentary fragrance to the skin. Aside from this, I have been loving the Body Shop Coconut Body Butter. The Body Shop is known for their infamous body butter and adding this to my little collection felt great. The coconut scent is not too strong and applies well especially after a hot shower. I have always been using the Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream. I have been using it as a hand cream, it's absolutely perfect for dry skin as it is full of shea butter and coconut oil.

As per usual, I'm always at the gym and I have been into gym leggings immensely. Nearly every day I find myself browsing through the Gymshark website looking for my next purchase. I love their Ark Leggings which feel like joggings and are incredibly comfortable and snug. My next purchase is their new Ombre Leggings which releases today! Hopefully, I'll purchase them soon. Aside from the gym, I have been trying to add more trainers to my shoe collection. This month my go-to's have been my Nike Prestos!

My favourite TV programme has come back Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian and I have been loving it as per usual. I can't wait to see the upcoming transformations. Also, I finally watched Fifty Shades of Grey and Darker this month & I'm excited to see Fifty Shades Freed.
